The beauty of this object is in its detail and layers. Every look will bring new surprises. Each layer is lovingly laid down, allowed to dry and then the next layer added until complete.
The first layer is paper collage which includes pieces ripped from fine Japanese and hand dyed papers and chopstick wrappers.
The second layer is chalk pastel drawings which is fixed using acrylic gel medium. Numerous layers of acrylic paint is applied to add detail, texture and pattern. Beads are then attached to give a little sparkle. Each fish gets 4 layers of water-based varnish to protect the collage.
There is a small hole drilled in the nose for hanging or can stand on its own. This item makes a beautiful and unique accent in any office or home.
This item is one of a kind, handmade by me.
