This little fishie was hand cut from scrap wood. The beauty of this object is in its detail and layers. Every look will bring new surprises.

Each layer is lovingly laid down, allowed to dry and then the next layer until complete. The first layer is paper collage. The second layer is chalk pastel drawings which is fixed using acrylic gel medium. Numerous layers of acrylic paint is applied to add detail, texture and pattern. Beads, tinsel and thread are then attached to give a little sparkle.

This fish was caught once and has a hoop stuck in its mouth. This hoop has been fashioned out of wire and a bead and is not removable. This fish is protected with layers of water-based varnish.

The predominant colours on this fish are blues.

This fish can stand on its own or be hung by the metal loop. This item makes a beautiful accent in any home of office.
