The beauty of this object is in its detail and layers. Every look will bring new surprises.

Each layer is lovingly laid down, allowed to dry and then the next layer until complete. The first layer is paper collage using pieces ripped from a Jasmin tea bag pouch, chopstick packaging, fine Japanese papers and incorporates dried flowers. Details are added with chalk pastel and acrylic paint. Beads and thread are then attached to give a little sparkle. The predominant colours on this fish are oranges. Each fish is protected using water-based varnish.

There is a small hole drilled in the nose for hanging or it can stand on its own as shown. This item makes a beautiful and unique accent in any home or office. This little fishie was hand cut from scrap wood in accordance to the Baited Hook Reduce, reuse, recycle philosophy.
